Rimmel’s much anticipated new lipstick collection by Kate Moss has finally hit the shelves. I was excited to peruse the range in Boots today, where I completely mortified my sister by swatching each of the 7 shades on my arm and photographing them to show you guys. The testers hadn’t even been touched yet (don’t you just love that?!).
This was the display… rather more modest than I expected to be honest, but that didn’t detract from the loveliness within. The sleek, matt black packaging features Kate’s signature in red, a nice personal touch for a collection hand chosen by the lady herself.
The colour range is rich, sumptuous and, naturally, on trend for AW 2011. The lipsticks are highly pigmented and feel quite moisturising on the skin.

The shades from left to right are: 05, 03, 02, 01, 04, 08, 02, 12 – above in normal light and below under a spotlight.
It’s no accident that 01 & 04 take central stage in the display. This glamorous 40s movie star red and daring goth purple were the two shades that jumped out at me from the collection. I also adore pink toned nude, 08 (3rd from right) and the gorgeous fuschia, 02 next to it.
As my twitter followers will know I’m all about the red lips and nails at the moment so the red (01) will be mine. And since these beauties are on 3 for 2 at the moment it would be rude not to pick up the pink nude (08) & fuchsia (02) while I’m at it. If it weren’t for *cough* parking attendants they’d already be in my clutches!
